The recommended oil for the Honda TRX90X 2012 ATV is SAE 10W-30, Pro Honda GN4 4-stroke oil, or an equivalent high-quality oil formulated for four-stroke engines.
You should change the oil in your Honda TRX90X every 6 months or every 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Be sure to also replace the oil filter when you change the oil.
The recommended tire pressure for the Honda TRX90X 2012 is 2.5 psi for both front and rear tires. Always check tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the air filter, and wash it in a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely. Lightly oil the filter with air filter oil before reinstalling.
Check the fuel level, ensure the fuel valve is open, and inspect the spark plug for fouling or damage. Also, make sure the battery is charged and connections are secure. If issues persist, consult a professional mechanic.
To adjust the chain, loosen the rear axle nut, use the chain adjusters to achieve the desired tension (approximately 1 inch of slack), and then retighten the axle nut securely. Check alignment and adjust as necessary.
Clean the ATV thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer to a full tank of gas, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
Regular maintenance such as keeping the air filter clean, ensuring proper tire pressure, using the recommended oil, and not overloading the ATV can help improve fuel efficiency.
Check the brake fluid level and inspect for any leaks in the brake lines. Bleed the brakes to remove any air bubbles in the system. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
To replace the spark plug, remove the spark plug cap, use a spark plug wrench to unscrew the old plug, and install a new one with the correct gap (0.6-0.7 mm). Tighten securely and reattach the spark plug cap.
