To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, turn it off, and place the ATV on level ground. Remove the skid plate, if necessary, and place an oil pan under the engine. Remove the oil drain bolt and washer, then allow the oil to drain completely. Replace the washer and reinstall the drain bolt. Remove the oil filter and replace it with a new one. Refill with the recommended oil type and amount, then check the oil level.
If your ATV won't start, check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Ensure the battery is charged. Check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and replace if necessary. Verify that the engine stop switch is in the 'RUN' position. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
Regularly inspect the brake pads for wear and replace them if they are below the recommended thickness. Check brake fluid levels and top up if necessary using the recommended brake fluid type. Inspect brake lines for leaks or damage. Test the brakes for proper function before each ride.
Use unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number of 86 or higher. Avoid using gasoline containing more than 10% ethanol to prevent damage to the fuel system.
To adjust the suspension, locate the preload adjuster on the shock absorber. Use a spanner wrench to turn the adjuster clockwise to increase preload or counterclockwise to decrease it. Adjust both front and rear shocks equally to maintain balance.
The recommended tire pressure is 4.0 psi for the front tires and 3.6 psi for the rear tires. Check tire pressure regularly and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Inspect the air filter every 100 hours of operation or more frequently if you ride in dusty conditions. Clean or replace the air filter as needed to maintain optimal engine performance.
If the engine overheats, stop riding and turn off the engine. Allow it to cool down before inspecting the coolant level. Check for any leaks or obstructions in the radiator. Ensure the radiator fan is operational. If the problem persists, consult a dealer or technician.
To prevent rust, wash your ATV regularly to remove dirt and moisture. Apply a wax or protective coating to metal surfaces. Store the ATV in a dry, covered area. Inspect for any signs of rust and address them promptly to prevent spreading.
Before long-term storage, clean the ATV thoroughly, change the oil and filter, and fill the gas tank with fresh fuel and stabilizer. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Inflate the tires to the recommended pressure and cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
