To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, turn it off, and place the ATV on a level surface. Remove the drain bolt and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain bolt and remove the oil filter. Install a new oil filter, and fill the engine with the recommended oil. Check the oil level and ensure there are no leaks.
Honda recommends using SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40, API service classification SG or higher motor oil. Ensure it is suitable for wet clutches.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Ensure the battery is charged. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling and replace if necessary. Verify the fuel supply and check for clogged fuel lines or filters.
The recommended tire pressure is 3.6 psi (25 kPa) for the front tires and 2.9 psi (20 kPa) for the rear tires. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
Regularly check the brake fluid level and top up if necessary. Inspect brake pads for wear and replace them if they are below the recommended thickness. Ensure that the brake lines are not leaking and the brake lever feels firm.
Stop riding and let the engine cool down. Check the coolant level and add coolant if necessary. Inspect the radiator for obstructions such as dirt or debris. Ensure the cooling fan is functioning properly.
The air filter should be inspected every 100 hours of use and replaced as needed. If you operate in dusty conditions, check the air filter more frequently.
To adjust the suspension, use the preload adjuster located on the front and rear shocks. Turn the adjuster clockwise to increase preload (stiffen) or counterclockwise to decrease preload (soften) according to your weight and riding conditions.
Rinse the ATV with water to remove mud and debris. Use mild soap and a soft brush to clean the surface. Avoid high-pressure washers near bearings and seals. Dry the ATV thoroughly and apply a protective spray to prevent corrosion.
Check the transmission fluid level and top up if necessary. Inspect for any leaks or damage to the transmission system. If issues persist, consult a professional mechanic for a thorough inspection and repair.
