You should use SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 motorcycle oil that meets or exceeds the API service classification of SG or higher. Ensure it is also JASO T 903 MA standard for wet clutches.
It is recommended to change the oil and oil filter every 100 hours or 600 miles, whichever comes first, under normal riding conditions.
The recommended tire pressure is 4.4 psi for the front tires and 3.6 psi for the rear tires. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold.
First, check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness. Ensure the battery is fully charged. Next, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. If the issue persists, verify the fuel supply and check for any clogged fuel lines.
Stop the engine immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and refill if necessary. Inspect the radiator for any obstructions or damage. If overheating continues, consider consulting a professional mechanic.
Regularly check the transmission oil level and replace it according to the maintenance schedule. Use the recommended Honda transmission oil for optimal performance.
The spark plug gap should be set to 0.031 inches (0.8 mm). Always use a feeler gauge to measure the gap accurately.
Maintain proper tire pressure, keep the air filter clean, and ensure regular maintenance checks. Avoid carrying excessive weight and use smooth throttle inputs to enhance fuel efficiency.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based antifreeze mixed with distilled water in a 50/50 ratio. Ensure it is silicate-free to prevent damage to the cooling system.
Locate the brake fluid reservoir near the handlebars. Ensure the ATV is on level ground and check the fluid level against the markings on the reservoir. Top up with DOT 4 brake fluid if necessary.
