Use 10W-30 or 10W-40 four-stroke motorcycle oil that meets or exceeds the API service classification of SG or higher. Ensure it is safe for use with wet clutches.
Change the oil every 100 hours of operation or at least once a year. If used under severe conditions, change it every 50 hours.
The front tires should be inflated to 4.4 psi and the rear tires to 3.6 psi for optimal performance.
Check the battery connections and charge if necessary. Ensure the fuel valve is on and the engine stop switch is in the "Run" position. If problems persist, inspect the spark plug and fuel system.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the engine oil, inspecting the air filter, checking brake fluid levels, and inspecting tire pressure and tread condition.
Locate the brake adjusters near each wheel. Turn the adjuster nuts clockwise to tighten or counterclockwise to loosen until the desired braking performance is achieved.
Stop the engine immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level in the radiator and refill if necessary. Inspect for any leaks or blockages in the cooling system.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Clean it with compressed air or wash it with mild detergent and water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstalling.
Remove the spark plug cap and use a spark plug wrench to unscrew the old plug. Check the gap on the new plug, install it, and tighten it securely. Reattach the spark plug cap.
Clean the ATV thoroughly and apply a coat of wax. Drain the fuel or add a stabilizer. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the ATV to protect it from dust and moisture.
