Honda recommends using SAE 10W-30, JASO T 903 standard MA, Pro Honda GN4 4-stroke oil or equivalent for optimal performance.
To adjust the idle speed, locate the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor. Turn it clockwise to increase idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Refer to the owner's manual for the recommended idle speed.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 4.4 psi and for the rear tires is 3.6 psi. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
The air filter should be inspected every 100 hours of operation and replaced if necessary. In dusty conditions, check and clean or replace the air filter more frequently.
If the engine is overheating, stop the ATV immediately and turn off the engine. Check the coolant level and look for any radiator obstructions. Allow the engine to cool down before resuming operation.
First, check the battery connections and ensure they are tight and corrosion-free. Verify the fuel level and inspect the spark plug for wear. If the problem persists, consult the service manual or a professional mechanic.
At the 100-hour service interval, change the engine oil, inspect and clean the air filter, check the brake system, inspect the tires, and lubricate all pivot points. Refer to the owner's manual for additional checks.
To engage the 4X4 mode, stop the vehicle and shift the lever on the right handlebar to the 4WD position. Ensure the ATV is in neutral or low speed before engaging.
After use, wash the ATV with mild soap and water, avoiding high-pressure sprays on electrical components and joints. Dry thoroughly and lubricate moving parts to prevent rust.
To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Press and hold the trip meter button until the maintenance light resets.
