It is recommended to change the oil every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, depending on your driving conditions and the type of oil used.
The recommended transmission fluid is Honda ATF-Z1 (Automatic Transmission Fluid). Make sure to use this or a compatible fluid to ensure optimal performance.
To reset the maintenance required light, turn the ignition switch to the ON position, press the trip button until the light turns off, then turn the ignition off and on again.
The recommended tire pressure is 32 psi for front tires and 30 psi for rear tires. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
To replace the cabin air filter, locate the filter housing behind the glove compartment, remove the old filter, and insert a new one, making sure it is oriented correctly.
If the engine overheating light comes on, pull over safely, turn off the engine, and allow it to cool. Check the coolant level and look for leaks. If necessary, add coolant or seek professional assistance.
If the power sliding door is not functioning, check the fuse and ensure the door track is clean and free of obstructions. Also, ensure the child safety lock is not engaged.
To jump-start the van, connect the positive terminal of the dead battery to the positive terminal of the donor battery, then connect the negative terminal of the donor battery to a metal ground on the Odyssey. Start the donor vehicle, then the Odyssey.
Poor fuel economy may be due to under-inflated tires, dirty air filters, or faulty oxygen sensors. Regular maintenance and addressing these issues can improve fuel efficiency.
To replace the brake pads, lift the vehicle safely, remove the wheel, unbolt the caliper, remove the old pads, compress the caliper piston, install new pads, and reassemble. Ensure all bolts are tightened to specification.
