To break-in the engine, avoid full throttle starts and high RPMs. Keep the engine speed varying for the first 300 miles, and avoid aggressive riding styles. This ensures optimal engine performance and longevity.
Use SAE 10W-30, API classification SG or higher, JASO T 903 standard MA grade oil. Ensure it is suitable for wet clutches to maintain optimal engine performance.
Check tire pressure at least once a week and before long rides. The recommended tire pressure is 29 psi for the front tire and 33 psi for the rear tire.
To adjust chain tension, place the motorcycle on its center stand, loosen the axle nut, adjust the tensioner bolts evenly on both sides until the chain has 20-30mm of slack, then tighten the axle nut.
If the motorcycle fails to start, check the fuel level, ensure the kill switch is in the run position, inspect the spark plug and battery connections, and verify that the side stand is up.
The recommended service interval is every 4,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first. This includes an oil change, air filter check, and inspection of brakes and tires.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with compressed air or replace it if necessary. Ensure it's completely dry before reinstalling. Check the filter every 4,000 miles.
If the brakes feel spongy, check the brake fluid level and top it up if necessary. Bleed the brake system to remove any air bubbles, and inspect the brake pads for wear.
To replace the headlight bulb, remove the headlight cover, disconnect the wiring harness, unclip the bulb holder, and replace the bulb. Reassemble in reverse order. Ensure the new bulb is correctly aligned.
For off-season storage, clean the motorcycle thoroughly, change the oil, fill the fuel tank, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry, cool place. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.
