To reset the TPMS on a 2017 Honda HR-V, turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine. Press and hold the TPMS button located under the dashboard on the left side until the TPMS light blinks twice. Release the button and the system will reset.
The 2017 Honda HR-V recommends using 0W-20 API SN or higher grade engine oil for optimal performance and fuel efficiency.
To pair your smartphone, enable Bluetooth on your phone. Press the ‘Phone’ button on the audio system, then select ‘Yes’ to pair a new device. Follow the on-screen prompts and select your vehicle from the list on your phone. Enter the code displayed on the screen if required.
Open the glove box and remove the support arm. Press in on the sides of the glove box to release it from the dashboard. Behind it, locate the rectangular cabin air filter cover, unclip it, and pull out the old filter. Insert the new filter, ensuring the airflow direction arrows are pointed correctly, then reassemble.
First, check if the air conditioning settings are correct. Ensure the mode is set to A/C and the temperature is set to cool. Inspect the cabin air filter for clogs and replace if necessary. Check refrigerant levels and listen for unusual noises indicating compressor issues. If problems persist, consult a certified technician.
The 2017 Honda HR-V should have regular maintenance every 7,500 miles or 12 months. This includes oil and filter changes, tire rotation, brake inspection, and fluid level checks. Major services are typically performed every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, including transmission fluid replacement and more comprehensive inspections.
To replace the headlight bulb, open the hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly. Remove the power connector from the bulb, then twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new bulb without touching the glass, twist it clockwise to secure, and reconnect the power connector.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, follow a regular maintenance schedule, use recommended engine oil, and reduce excess weight in the vehicle. Additionally, practice smooth acceleration and braking, and avoid prolonged idling.
If the check engine light comes on, first ensure the gas cap is tightly secured. If the light remains on, use an OBD-II scanner to check for diagnostic trouble codes or visit a professional mechanic to diagnose the issue. Avoid driving long distances to prevent potential damage.
To adjust the clock, press the ‘Clock’ button on the dashboard. Use the ‘H’ button to set the hour and the ‘M’ button to set the minutes. Press ‘Clock’ again to save the settings.
