Honda recommends using SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 motorcycle oil that meets the MA standard for the CTX700 2016.
The oil should be changed every 8,000 miles or 12,800 kilometers, or once a year, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 36 psi for the front tire and 42 psi for the rear tire.
To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition switch to 'ON,' press and hold the reset button on the instrument panel until the maintenance light goes off.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant that is specifically formulated for aluminum engines.
Ensure regular maintenance, keep tires properly inflated, avoid aggressive riding, and use the recommended fuel grade.
Check the battery connections, ensure the kill switch is not engaged, verify the fuel level, and inspect the fuses. If the problem persists, consult a professional mechanic.
Clean the motorcycle thoroughly, change the oil, fill the fuel tank and add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and cover the bike to protect it from dust and moisture.
Ensure the motorcycle is on a level surface, loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, and ensure the slack is within the recommended specifications before tightening the axle nut.
The air filter should be inspected every 12,000 miles or 19,000 kilometers and replaced as necessary depending on riding conditions.
