It is recommended to change the oil every 8,000 miles or 12,800 kilometers. However, if you frequently ride in harsh conditions, consider changing it more often.
The recommended oil type is SAE 10W-30, JASO T 903 standard MA. Always use high-quality oil to maintain engine performance.
Check the battery connections for corrosion, ensure the kill switch is in the 'on' position, and verify that the fuel tank is not empty. If issues persist, the battery or starter may need inspection.
The recommended tire pressure is 36 PSI for the front tire and 42 PSI for the rear tire for optimum performance and safety.
Regularly clean and lubricate the chain every 600 miles or 1,000 kilometers. Check for proper tension and adjust if necessary to prevent wear and improve longevity.
First, check the coolant level and top it up if necessary. Ensure the radiator is not obstructed. If overheating continues, inspect the thermostat and cooling fan operation.
The CBR650F has adjustable rear shock preload. Use the preload adjuster to increase or decrease tension according to your weight and riding style for a smoother ride.
Replace the air filter every 12,000 miles or 19,200 kilometers. Riding in dusty conditions may require more frequent replacements to ensure optimal engine performance.
For the front axle nut, the torque specification is 59 ft-lb (80 Nm), and for the rear axle nut, it is 83 ft-lb (113 Nm). Always use a torque wrench for accuracy.
To reset the service light, turn the ignition off, hold the 'Select' and 'Set' buttons on the instrument panel, then turn the ignition on while holding these buttons until the light resets.
