For the first 300 miles, avoid full throttle starts and high engine speeds. Gradually increase your speed and load, avoiding constant speeds. Follow the owner’s manual for specific break-in procedures.
Use SAE 10W-30, API classification SG or higher, JASO T 903 standard MA. The oil capacity is 2.7 quarts with a filter change.
It is recommended to change the oil every 8,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. Regular maintenance ensures optimal engine performance.
The recommended tire pressure is 29 psi for the front tire and 29 psi for the rear tire when riding solo. Adjust the rear tire pressure to 33 psi when riding with a passenger or load.
Check the battery connections, ensure the kill switch is in the 'Run' position, and confirm there is sufficient fuel. If the problem persists, inspect the spark plug and fuel system.
At 12,000 miles, inspect the valve clearance, replace the air cleaner, check the spark plug, and inspect the brake system. Lubricate all cables and pivot points.
Place the bike on a center stand, loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, and ensure the chain slack is within 1.2-1.6 inches. Tighten the axle nut securely.
Stop the motorcycle in a safe place, allow the engine to cool, and check the coolant level. Inspect for any leaks or blockages in the radiator. If overheating persists, consult a professional mechanic.
Remove the seat, unscrew the air filter cover, and take out the old air filter. Insert a new filter, ensuring it is seated correctly, then reattach the cover and the seat.
Common issues include blown fuses, faulty battery, and malfunctioning lights. Check and replace blown fuses, recharge or replace the battery, and inspect light connections if issues arise.
