Check the battery connections to ensure they are tight and free of corrosion. Confirm the battery is charged. Inspect the starter motor, and check the ignition switch and fuses.
Use 5W-20 or 5W-30 viscosity oil that meets API certification. Synthetic oil is also a good option for better performance.
Turn the ignition to the ON position without starting the engine. Press the reset button on the dashboard until the maintenance light blinks and turns off.
It is recommended to replace the timing belt every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Refer to the owner’s manual for specific intervals.
Open the hood and locate the air filter box. Unclip or unscrew the top of the box, remove the old filter, and replace it with a new one. Secure the box again.
Check the refrigerant level and refill if necessary. Inspect the AC compressor and fuses. Clean or replace the cabin air filter.
The recommended tire pressure is typically 32 PSI for both front and rear tires, but always check the placard on the driver’s door jamb for specific details.
Jack up the car and remove the wheels. Unbolt the calipers and remove the old brake pads. Install new pads and reattach the calipers. Ensure everything is secure before lowering the car.
The knocking sound could be due to low oil levels, worn engine bearings, or using the wrong fuel octane. Check the oil level and quality, and ensure you are using the recommended fuel.
Ensure regular maintenance, such as oil changes and air filter replacements. Keep tires properly inflated, and drive smoothly without rapid acceleration or braking.
