To change the engine oil, first warm up the engine for a few minutes. Turn off the engine and place the motorcycle on a flat surface. Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to drain completely. Replace the drain plug and fill the engine with the recommended oil grade to the specified level.
If the motorcycle won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the kill switch is in the 'ON' position, inspect the battery connections, and verify that the clutch lever is pulled in while starting. If the problem persists, it might be a good idea to consult a mechanic.
Regularly clean the chain with a soft brush and kerosene. After cleaning, apply a suitable chain lubricant evenly while rotating the wheel to cover the entire chain. Check and adjust the chain tension as per the owner's manual specifications.
The recommended tire pressure for the Hero Xtreme 160R 2020 is 29 psi for the front tire and 33 psi for the rear tire. Ensure to check the tire pressure regularly and maintain it for optimal performance and safety.
To adjust the headlights, locate the adjustment screws on the headlight assembly. Turn the screws clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the beam vertically and horizontally. Ensure the adjustment is made on a level surface and check that the beam does not blind oncoming traffic.
Overheating may be caused by low engine oil levels, a clogged air filter, or a malfunctioning cooling system. Regularly check and maintain the oil level, clean or replace the air filter, and ensure the cooling system is functioning properly.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance is performed, keep the tires inflated to the recommended pressure, avoid aggressive acceleration and braking, and ride at a consistent speed.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2020 does not feature selectable riding modes. However, it is designed to provide a balanced performance suitable for both city commuting and occasional highway cruising.
To replace the brake pads, first, remove the caliper from the brake disc. Take out the old brake pads and inspect the caliper for any damage. Install the new brake pads and reattach the caliper. Ensure the brake lever feels firm after replacement.
During routine maintenance, check the engine oil level, brake fluid level, tire pressure, chain tension, and battery condition. Inspect the air filter, spark plug, and brake pads for wear and tear, and replace them if necessary.
