Harley-Davidson recommends using SAE 20W50 synthetic oil for optimal performance in the Electra Glide Classic 2013.
Brake pads should be inspected every 5,000 miles and replaced if the friction material is less than 1/8 inch thick.
The recommended tire pressure is 36 psi for the front tire and 40 psi for the rear tire.
To reset the service light, turn the ignition to the "on" position while holding down the trip button until the service message resets.
For winter storage, ensure the fuel tank is full, add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and keep the battery on a trickle charger.
Check the battery voltage, inspect the starter relay, and verify that the kill switch is in the correct position to troubleshoot starting issues.
If the engine overheats, pull over safely, let the engine cool, check coolant levels, and inspect for any coolant leaks.
The air filter should be inspected every 5,000 miles and replaced every 10,000 miles or as needed.
Check the transmission fluid level by ensuring the bike is upright on a level surface and removing the transmission dipstick to inspect the fluid level and condition.
Adjust the suspension by using the preload adjuster knob located near the rear shock absorbers to increase or decrease the preload according to rider weight and preference.
