To attach the Fujifilm EF-60 Flash to your camera, slide the flash's mounting foot into the camera's hot shoe. Ensure it is securely in place, then tighten the lock wheel to prevent it from moving.
The EF-60 Flash is powered by four AA batteries. You can use alkaline, NiMH, or lithium batteries. Ensure the batteries are inserted correctly according to the indicated polarity.
To update the firmware, connect the flash to a computer via USB, download the latest firmware from the Fujifilm website, and follow the instructions provided in the update guide.
If the flash is not firing, check the following: ensure the flash is turned on, the batteries are charged, the flash is properly seated in the hot shoe, and that the camera settings allow for flash use.
To use the wireless remote function, set the EF-60 to wireless mode using the mode button. Then, configure it as a master or slave unit and pair it with compatible triggers or cameras.
To prevent overheating, allow the flash to cool down after extended use, avoid firing at full power continuously, and use the thermal protection features if available.
Regularly clean the flash with a soft, dry cloth, check the battery contacts for corrosion, and store the flash in a cool, dry place when not in use.
The EF-60 Flash is optimized for Fujifilm cameras for TTL mode. Using it with non-Fujifilm cameras may require manual mode adjustments for proper functionality.
To adjust the zoom setting, press the zoom button on the flash and use the control dial to select the desired focal length. This can help match the flash coverage to the lens focal length.
If the display is not working, check the battery life, ensure the flash is turned on, and reset the flash by removing and reinserting the batteries. If the issue persists, consider professional servicing.
