To turn on the Flir Extech RPM10 Tachometer, press and hold the power button until the display lights up.
Ensure the tachometer is set to the correct mode. Point the laser beam at the reflective tape on the rotating surface and read the RPM value from the display.
Press the Mode button to toggle between contact and non-contact measurement modes. The current mode will be indicated on the display.
Ensure the reflective tape is clean and properly attached. Check that the tachometer is aligned correctly with the tape and that the batteries are charged.
It is recommended to calibrate the RPM10 tachometer annually or more frequently if used in critical applications.
Regularly clean the sensor and check the condition of the reflective tape. Replace batteries as needed and store the device in a protective case when not in use.
