To thread the machine, start by placing the thread spool on the spool pin. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide, then down through the tension discs. Continue threading through the take-up lever, and finally thread the needle from front to back.
Check if the needle is correctly inserted and not bent or damaged. Ensure that the needle size is appropriate for the fabric. Also, verify that the thread is correctly threaded and the tension is properly adjusted.
Adjust the thread tension by turning the tension dial. Turn it clockwise to increase tension and counterclockwise to decrease it. Test on a scrap piece of fabric until the desired tension is achieved.
Unusual noises can be caused by a lack of lubrication or incorrect threading. Ensure that the machine is properly oiled as per the manual, and check the threading path for any issues.
Regular maintenance should be performed every six months for moderate use. This includes cleaning, oiling, and checking for worn parts. For heavy use, consider more frequent maintenance.
Turn off the machine and unplug it. Remove the needle plate and use a brush to clean out lint and debris. Wipe down the exterior and ensure the bobbin area is free from dust.
Begin by re-threading the machine to ensure it's done correctly. Check the bobbin case for correct insertion and adjust the bobbin tension if necessary. Test different tension settings on scrap fabric.
Use high-quality sewing machine oil that is specifically designed for industrial machines. Avoid using household or motor oils as they may damage the machine.
Turn off the machine and raise the needle to its highest position. Loosen the needle clamp screw and remove the old needle. Insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back and tighten the clamp screw securely.
First, check that the machine is properly plugged in and that the power switch is on. Inspect the power cord for any damage. If the issue persists, consult a professional technician as there may be an issue with the motor.
