To thread the Dürkopp Adler 367, start by placing the spool on the spool pin. Guide the thread through the upper thread guide, down to the tension discs, then into the take-up lever. Follow through each thread guide down to the needle bar, ensuring the thread is secured in each guide. Finally, thread the needle from front to back.
Check if the needle is correctly installed and not bent. Ensure you are using the correct needle size for your fabric. Also, inspect the needle plate, presser foot, and bobbin case for any damage that might catch the needle.
Skipped stitches can occur due to a dull or bent needle, incorrect threading, or tension issues. Replace the needle, re-thread the machine, and adjust the tension settings as necessary. Ensure the needle is the right type for the fabric.
To adjust the thread tension, use the tension dial located on the front of the machine. Turn it clockwise to increase tension and counterclockwise to decrease it. Test on a scrap piece of fabric until the stitches are balanced and even.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning lint from the bobbin area, oiling the machine as per the manual's instructions, checking for loose screws, and ensuring the machine is properly threaded. Clean the feed dogs and replace needles regularly.
Noisiness can result from lack of oil, loose parts, or incorrect threading. Ensure the machine is properly oiled, tighten any loose screws, and check the threading path. If noise persists, inspect for worn-out components or consult a technician.
Check if the feed dogs are raised and clean. Ensure the presser foot pressure is correctly adjusted for your fabric type. If the feed dogs are worn, they may need to be replaced.
First, raise the needle to its highest position. Open the bobbin case door, remove the empty bobbin, and insert a new one, ensuring the thread winds in the correct direction. Pull the thread through the slot, close the door, and draw up the bobbin thread with the needle thread.
Uneven stitches can be due to incorrect tension settings, a dull needle, or improper threading. Adjust the tension, replace the needle, and re-thread the machine. Using the appropriate presser foot for your fabric can also help.
Thread bunching is often due to incorrect threading or tension issues. Re-thread the upper thread, ensuring it is properly seated in the tension discs. Verify the bobbin is correctly inserted and adjust the tension settings as needed.
