To switch the Dimplex AC45N-A heater on, press the power button located on the control panel. To turn it off, press the same button again. Ensure the heater is plugged in and the outlet is working properly.
First, check if the heater is properly plugged in and the power switch is on. Ensure the thermostat is set to a temperature higher than the room temperature. If the problem persists, inspect the circuit breaker and check for any tripped fuses.
Unplug the heater and let it cool completely. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior. For the interior, use a vacuum with a brush attachment to remove dust and debris from vents and grills. Avoid using harsh chemicals or submerging the heater in water.
It is generally not recommended to leave the heater running unattended or overnight. Ensure that safety features such as tip-over protection and overheat shut-off are functioning correctly if you must leave it on.
Regularly clean the heater to prevent dust buildup. Inspect power cords and plugs for wear or damage. Test safety features periodically and replace any damaged parts as needed.
After a power outage, switch off the heater and unplug it for a few minutes. Plug it back in and turn it on. Reset any desired settings or modes on the control panel.
Set the thermostat to a comfortable but moderate temperature, such as 68-72°F (20-22°C). Use the timer function to limit usage to necessary periods and ensure windows and doors are closed to retain heat.
Unusual noises can be caused by debris inside the heater or a loose part. Turn off and unplug the heater, then inspect it for any foreign objects or loose components. If necessary, contact a professional for further inspection.
Ensure the heater is completely cooled down and unplugged. Clean it thoroughly before storing. Place it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight or moisture. Cover it to prevent dust accumulation.
Stop using the heater immediately if its safety features are not functioning. Contact customer support or a certified technician to assess and repair the issue before further use.
