Before using the DH-S tail lift, ensure that the lift is fully operational by checking the control box for any error indicators. Inspect the hydraulic system for leaks, ensure the platform is clear of debris, and confirm that all safety features such as warning lights and buzzers are functioning correctly.
Check the power supply to ensure the tail lift is receiving electricity. Inspect the control panel for any tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. Verify that the emergency stop button is not engaged and that all safety interlocks are in place.
It is recommended to lubricate the moving parts of the DH-S tail lift every 3 months or after 200 operating cycles, whichever comes first. Use the lubricant specified in the maintenance manual to ensure optimal performance.
Clean the DH-S tail lift regularly using a mild detergent and water. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components. Ensure that all surfaces are dry before operating the lift to prevent slipping.
Start by checking the hydraulic fluid level and replenish if necessary. Inspect for leaks along hoses and connections. If the lift is slow or jerky, it may indicate air in the system, which should be bled according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Check the alignment of the platform hinges and adjust them as needed. Ensure that the hydraulic cylinders are extending and retracting evenly. In some cases, recalibrating the control system may be necessary.
Unusual noises may indicate that the lift requires lubrication or that there is a foreign object obstructing the mechanism. Inspect all moving parts for wear and tear and remove any debris found in the lifting area.
Regularly inspect and maintain hydraulic components by following the manufacturer's schedule. Use only the recommended hydraulic oil, and keep the system free from contaminants by regularly replacing hydraulic filters.
Refer to the error code section in the user manual for a list of common codes. For instance, a 'Code 01' might indicate a communication error which could be resolved by checking the wiring connections and resetting the control unit.
Before storing, clean and lubricate all parts, disengage the battery or power source, and cover the lift to protect it from environmental elements. Store in a dry, covered area to prevent corrosion.
