Danby DPA080BAUWDB Owner's Manual

To set up the Danby DPA080BAUWDB, place it near a suitable window. Attach the window slider kit, ensuring a secure seal. Connect the exhaust hose to the back of the unit and extend it to the outside through the window kit. Plug in the unit, and use the control panel to turn it on and select the desired settings.
Ensure the temperature setting is lower than the room temperature. Check if the air filter is clean and not obstructed. Verify that doors and windows are closed to prevent warm air from entering. Also, confirm that the exhaust hose is properly connected and not kinked.
Turn off the air conditioner and unplug it. Remove the air filter located at the back. Wash the filter with warm, soapy water and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it. It is recommended to clean the filter every two weeks during heavy use.
The 'E1' error code indicates a sensor malfunction. Try resetting the unit by turning it off and unplugging it for a few minutes. If the error persists, contact Danby customer support for further assistance.
To drain water, turn off the unit and unplug it. Place a shallow pan under the drainage plug at the back of the unit. Remove the plug and allow the water to drain out completely. Replace the plug securely after draining.
It is not recommended to use the Danby DPA080BAUWDB in a room without windows, as the exhaust hose needs to vent warm air outside. Consider using a different type of air conditioning solution for windowless rooms.
To improve efficiency, keep doors and windows closed while the unit is running. Ensure the air filter is clean. Set the temperature to a moderate level and use curtains or blinds to block direct sunlight from entering the room.
Regularly clean the air filter every two weeks and inspect the exhaust hose for any obstructions. Check the drainage system periodically to ensure it is clear. Store the unit properly during off-seasons to prevent dust accumulation.
Use the control panel on the unit or the remote control to switch between modes such as Cool, Fan, and Dehumidify. Press the 'Mode' button to cycle through the options until the desired mode is selected.
Check if the unit is on a stable and level surface. Inspect the air filter and exhaust hose for obstructions. If the noise persists, it may indicate a mechanical issue, and you should contact Danby customer support for assistance.
