Danby DPA050E2BDB-6 Owner's Manual

To install the Danby DPA050E2BDB-6, ensure it is placed on a level surface near a power outlet. Install the exhaust hose by attaching it to the back of the unit and venting it through a nearby window using the included window kit. Make sure all connections are secure to prevent air leaks.
Check if the air filter is clean and replace it if necessary. Ensure that the exhaust hose is not blocked and the window seal is tight. Additionally, make sure doors and windows are closed in the room being cooled.
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks under normal usage. If the unit is used in a dusty environment, more frequent cleaning may be necessary. Replace the filter if it is damaged or if cleaning does not restore airflow.
Regularly clean the air filter, check the exhaust hose for obstructions, and ensure the condenser coils are free of dust. At the end of the season, drain any residual water from the unit and store it in a dry place.
To drain water, turn off and unplug the unit. Place a shallow pan under the drainage port located at the back. Remove the drain plug and allow the water to completely drain. Replace the plug securely after draining.
This may be due to the unit reaching the set temperature or the timer function being activated. Check the temperature setting and ensure the timer is not set. Also, verify that the power supply is stable.
To reset the air conditioner, turn it off and unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for approximately 5 minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help resolve minor electronic glitches.
Ensure the unit is on a flat, stable surface. Check for loose parts or debris in the fan or exhaust hose. Tighten any loose screws and remove any obstructions. If the noise persists, contact customer support.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with the air conditioner due to the risk of overheating and fire hazards. Instead, plug the unit directly into a dedicated wall outlet.
Press the 'Timer' button on the control panel. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the desired time for the unit to turn on or off automatically. Confirm the setting by pressing the 'Timer' button again.
