Ensure the air conditioner is installed in a window that can support its weight. Follow the installation instructions in the user manual, including securing the unit with mounting brackets and ensuring a proper seal around the window frame.
Check if the filter is clean and the unit is set to the correct mode. Ensure windows and doors are closed and there are no obstructions blocking the airflow. If problems persist, consult the troubleshooting section of the manual.
The air filter should be cleaned every two weeks or more frequently if you are in a dusty environment. Remove the filter, wash it with warm water, and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
The E1 error code indicates a problem with the room temperature sensor. Check the sensor's connection and ensure it is not obstructed or damaged. If the issue continues, contact Danby customer support.
It is not recommended to use an extension cord with your air conditioner as it may not handle the unit's electrical load, leading to overheating or fire hazards. Plug the air conditioner directly into a wall outlet.
Press the timer button on the remote control or the unit's control panel. Use the up and down buttons to set the desired time for the air conditioner to turn on or off automatically.
Check for any loose parts or debris in the air conditioner. Ensure the unit is installed level and securely. If the noise persists, it may require professional servicing to examine internal components.
Clean the filter and the exterior of the unit. Ensure the unit is completely dry to prevent mold growth. Store it in a dry place and cover it to protect against dust. Remove and store any installation hardware.
Unplug the air conditioner from the power outlet. Wait for about 5 minutes and then plug it back in. This process resets the unit.
For optimal energy efficiency, set the air conditioner to 78°F (25°C) when you are home and need cooling. Increase the temperature when you are away to save energy.
