To lock the controls on your Caple C840i hob, press and hold the lock key for a few seconds until the lock indicator appears on the display. This will prevent accidental changes to the settings.
Ensure that the hob is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Check if the child lock is activated as this can prevent the hob from heating. If none of these solutions work, contact Caple support.
Use a damp cloth with a mild detergent to clean the surface. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads as they can scratch the glass surface.
The Caple C840i hob is an induction hob, so it requires ferrous metal pans. You can test your pans with a magnet; if it sticks, the pan is suitable for induction cooking.
To reset the hob, turn off the power at the circuit breaker for at least 30 seconds before turning it back on. This should reset the hob to its default settings.
Refer to the user manual for the specific error code to understand its meaning. Common solutions include resetting the hob or checking for obstructions. If the issue persists, contact Caple's customer service.
To activate the power boost, select the desired cooking zone and press the boost button. This function temporarily increases the power for faster heating.
Regularly clean the hob to prevent build-up of residue. Use the correct cookware and avoid dragging pans across the surface to maintain efficiency and avoid scratches.
Ensure the control panel is dry and clean. If unresponsive, try turning off the power for a few minutes and turning it back on. If the issue persists, consult the user manual or contact support.
To set a timer, select the cooking zone and press the timer button. Use the plus and minus buttons to set the desired time. The hob will automatically turn off the zone once the timer reaches zero.
