After delivery, ensure the freezer is placed on a level surface to avoid vibrations. Leave it to stand upright for at least 4 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.
The recommended temperature setting is around -18°C for optimal food preservation. You can adjust the thermostat dial inside the freezer to reach this temperature.
Defrost the freezer when the frost build-up reaches 5mm thickness. Typically, this may be required every 6 months, depending on usage and environmental factors.
Ensure the freezer is level on the floor and that it's not touching any walls or cabinets. Check if any items inside are vibrating against the walls. If noises persist, consult a technician.
Ensure the door seals are intact and close properly. Avoid placing hot items inside and keep the freezer in a cool, well-ventilated area away from heat sources.
Check the thermostat setting and ensure the door is fully closed. Examine the door seals for any gaps or damage. If the issue persists, it might require professional servicing.
Unplug the freezer, remove all items, and wash the interior with a solution of baking soda and warm water. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly before restocking.
It is best to store liquids in airtight, freezer-safe containers to avoid spills. Ensure there is enough room for expansion as liquids freeze.
Empty the freezer and secure any loose shelves. Tape the door shut and use a dolly to move the freezer carefully. Keep it upright and avoid tilting more than 45 degrees.
Unplug the freezer, access the light cover inside, and remove it by unscrewing. Replace the bulb with a new one of the same wattage. Reattach the cover and plug the freezer back in.
