To descale the Breville VIN368, fill the water tank with a descaling solution or white vinegar diluted with water. Heat the iron to the maximum temperature setting, and then press the steam button to release steam for a few minutes. Empty the reservoir, rinse with clean water, and repeat if necessary.
Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check if the temperature dial is set to the desired setting. If the iron still does not heat up, it may require professional servicing.
To clean the soleplate, ensure the iron is unplugged and cool. Use a damp cloth and a mild detergent to wipe the soleplate. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using metal objects that might scratch the surface.
Water leakage can occur if the iron is overfilled or used on a low temperature setting. Ensure the water tank is filled to the correct level and allow the iron to fully heat before using the steam function.
To use the steam boost function, ensure the iron is filled with water and set to a high temperature. Press the steam boost button for a powerful burst of steam to tackle stubborn wrinkles. Allow a few seconds between boosts to maintain steam pressure.
After use, ensure the iron is unplugged and cooled down. Empty any remaining water from the tank, wrap the cord loosely around the handle, and store the iron upright in a dry place.
To prevent sticking, ensure the soleplate is clean and the temperature setting matches the fabric type. Using a pressing cloth for delicate materials can also help prevent sticking.
Regularly descale the iron to prevent mineral build-up, clean the soleplate, and check the power cord for any signs of damage. Replace any worn or damaged parts as needed.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral deposits. If tap water must be used, consider mixing it with distilled water to reduce buildup.
The Breville VIN368 features an indicator light that turns off when the set temperature is reached. Wait for the light to turn off before starting to iron.
