To descale the Breville VIN358, mix equal parts of water and white vinegar, fill the water tank, and set the iron to steam mode. Run the iron until the tank is empty, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
If your Breville VIN358 is not producing steam, ensure the water tank is filled, the temperature is set to the appropriate steam setting, and the steam selector is not set to 'off'.
To clean the soleplate, allow the iron to cool, then wipe it with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or a paste of baking soda and water. Avoid using metal scouring pads.
To prevent water leakage, ensure the water tank is not overfilled and the temperature setting is appropriate for steam ironing. Always empty the tank after use and store the iron upright.
If the iron does not heat up, check the power cord for damage, ensure it is plugged in securely, and verify that the power outlet is functioning. If the issue persists, contact Breville customer support.
To use the self-clean function, fill the water tank, set the iron to the highest temperature, and allow it to heat up. Then, unplug the iron and hold it over a sink, pressing the self-clean button until the tank is empty.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral build-up, but if tap water is used, ensure regular descaling to maintain performance.
Allow the iron to cool completely, empty any remaining water from the tank, and store it in an upright position on a stable surface to prevent damage or leaks.
The Breville VIN358 is suitable for cotton, linen, wool, silk, and synthetic fabrics. Always check garment care labels and adjust the temperature setting accordingly.
Descale the iron every 1-3 months, depending on the hardness of the water used and the frequency of use, to ensure optimal performance.
