To descale the Breville VIN295, fill the water tank with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water. Heat the iron to the highest setting, then press the steam button until the tank is empty. Rinse the tank with clean water afterward.
Ensure that the water tank is not overfilled and that the iron is always kept upright when not in use. Additionally, use the correct water type as specified in the manual to avoid mineral buildup.
Check if the power cord is securely plugged in and the power outlet is functioning. Make sure the temperature control is set to the desired setting. If the issue persists, contact Breville customer support.
Allow the iron to cool down completely, then wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive cleaner or a mixture of baking soda and water. Avoid using metal objects to clean the soleplate.
Ensure that the water tank is filled to the minimum level required for steam. Make sure the steam setting is activated and the iron is set to a high enough temperature. Descale the iron if mineral buildup is suspected.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral buildup. If tap water is used, ensure regular descaling to maintain performance.
Ensure the iron is completely cool before storing. Wrap the cord loosely around the base and store the iron in an upright position to prevent damage to the soleplate.
The auto shut-off feature automatically turns off the iron if it is left unattended for a certain period. This enhances safety and conserves energy. Check the manual for specific timing details.
A clicking noise is usually normal and indicates the thermostat is maintaining the set temperature. If the noise is excessive or unusual, inspect for any loose parts or contact customer support.
To use vertical steam, hold the iron in an upright position and press the steam button while directing the steam at the garment. This is ideal for removing wrinkles from hanging clothes.
