To descale the Breville VIN207, fill the water tank with a mixture of half water and half white vinegar. Set the iron to medium heat and allow it to steam until the tank is empty. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water afterward.
Check if the iron is properly plugged into a working power outlet. Ensure the temperature dial is set to the desired level. If the iron still doesn’t heat, it may require professional servicing.
It is recommended to use distilled or demineralized water to prevent mineral build-up and prolong the iron's life. If tap water is used, regular descaling is advised.
Ensure the iron reaches the correct temperature before using the steam function. Avoid overfilling the water tank and always store the iron upright.
Regularly clean the soleplate with a damp cloth, descale periodically, and empty the water tank after each use to prevent residue build-up.
Use a damp cloth with mild detergent to wipe the soleplate when it is cool. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the surface.
Hang the garment on a hanger, select the steam setting, and hold the iron vertically a few inches away from the fabric while activating the steam burst.
Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature setting is appropriate for steam. If the problem persists, try descaling the iron to remove mineral deposits.
Use a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric, and ensure the temperature setting is suitable for the material you are ironing.
Stop using the iron immediately and contact Breville customer service for a replacement. Do not attempt to repair the cord yourself.
