To clean the Breville VBL060, disassemble the jug, blades, and lid. Wash them in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Ensure that the electrical base is never submerged in water; instead, wipe it with a damp cloth.
If the blender stops working, it might be overheating. Turn off the appliance and unplug it. Allow it to cool for at least 20 minutes before using it again. Ensure that the jug is not overloaded.
It is not recommended to blend hot liquids in the Breville VBL060, as the heat can cause pressure build-up and lead to splattering or damage to the appliance.
Ensure the base of the jug is tightly screwed on and that the lid is securely closed. Avoid overfilling the jug beyond its maximum capacity line.
Store the blender in a cool, dry place. Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing to prevent mold or unpleasant odors. Keep it away from direct sunlight.
A burning smell may indicate the motor is overworked. Turn off the blender immediately and check if the blades are obstructed or if the jug is overloaded. Allow the unit to cool before trying again.
To keep the blades sharp, avoid blending hard items such as ice frequently. Clean the blades immediately after use to prevent acidic residues from dulling the blades.
Check if the jug is properly aligned with the base. Ensure that nothing is obstructing the blades and that the appliance is plugged in correctly. If the problem persists, contact Breville customer support.
Some vibration is normal, especially when blending hard ingredients. However, excessive vibration might indicate that the blender is not on a level surface or that the load is unbalanced.
The sealing ring should be replaced every 6-12 months or if you notice any wear and tear that may compromise the seal. Regularly inspect it for cracks or signs of wear.
