To connect the TB-2w, plug your guitar into the input jack and connect the output jack to your amplifier using standard 1/4 inch instrument cables. Ensure the pedal is powered using a 9V DC power supply or a 9V battery.
The TB-2w operates on a 9V DC power supply with a negative center. A power supply capable of delivering at least 30mA is recommended. Alternatively, a 9V battery can be used.
The TB-2w features a mode switch on the top of the pedal. Use this switch to toggle between the Standard TB mode and the Custom mode for different tonal characteristics.
First, check the power supply connection and ensure it is providing the correct voltage. If using a battery, ensure it is installed correctly and has sufficient charge. Inspect the cables and jacks for any damage or loose connections.
Regularly clean the pedal's exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Periodically check the input and output jacks for dust or debris and clean them as needed. Ensure the power supply connections are secure.
The Standard mode replicates the classic Tone Bender circuit, offering vintage fuzz tones. The Custom mode provides a modernized version with enhanced clarity and a wider tonal range.
Yes, the TB-2w can be used with other pedals. It is typically placed early in the signal chain, usually after the tuner and before modulation effects, to achieve the best tonal results.
Check for faulty cables or connections, as they are common noise sources. Ensure the power supply is clean and not introducing noise. Try isolating the TB-2w from other pedals to identify if a specific pedal is causing interference.
The LED indicator shows the pedal's on/off status. When lit, the pedal is active, and the effect is engaged. When off, the pedal is in bypass mode, and the signal passes through unaffected.
To replace the battery, unscrew the back panel of the pedal using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the old battery and insert a new 9V battery, ensuring the correct polarity. Secure the back panel before use.
