To perform a factory reset on the Boss GT-1, hold down the [WRITE] button and the [EXIT] button at the same time, then power on the unit. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.
Download the latest firmware from the Boss website. Connect the GT-1 to your computer via USB, then follow the instructions included with the firmware download to complete the update.
