To mount the Barska AC11668 scope, first ensure your rifle is unloaded. Use a compatible mounting base and rings. Secure the base to your rifle, attach the rings, and position the scope to achieve proper eye relief. Tighten the rings evenly to avoid misalignment.
To zero the scope, set up a target at your desired zeroing distance. Use a stable rest position and fire a group of shots. Adjust the windage and elevation turrets to align the point of impact with the point of aim. Repeat as necessary until properly zeroed.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth for cleaning the lenses. Avoid touching the lenses with your fingers to prevent smudges. For stubborn dirt, use a lens cleaning solution and gently wipe in a circular motion. Store the scope in its case when not in use to protect the lenses.
Fogging can occur due to temperature changes. Ensure the scope is sealed properly and consider using anti-fog solutions. If internal fogging occurs, it may indicate a seal issue and the scope might need professional servicing.
The Barska AC11668 scope features an adjustable magnification ring. Rotate the ring located on the eyepiece to increase or decrease the magnification as needed. Ensure adjustments are smooth and the scope maintains its position.
Store the scope in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use the protective caps for the lenses and keep the scope in its carrying case to prevent dust and physical damage.
The windage and elevation adjustments are made using the turrets located on the top and side of the scope. Turn the turrets in the required direction to adjust the point of impact. Each click typically represents a 1/4 MOA adjustment.
Ensure the scope is securely mounted and correctly zeroed. Check for any loose screws on the mount and rings. Verify your shooting technique is consistent and that the ammunition used matches the specifications for optimal performance.
Parallax issues occur when the reticle appears to move across the target. Adjust the parallax setting on the scope to match the shooting distance. Test by moving your head slightly; the reticle should not shift if the parallax is properly set.
Regularly clean the lenses and exterior of the scope. Inspect the mounting hardware for tightness and integrity. Store the scope in a dry environment and use lens caps to protect the optics. Periodically check for any signs of wear or damage and address them promptly.
