To align the finderscope, choose a distant object during the day. Center it in the main telescope's eyepiece, then adjust the finderscope's alignment screws until the object is centered in the finderscope as well.
Use a soft, lint-free cloth and lens cleaning solution. Gently wipe the lenses in a circular motion. Avoid using excessive pressure to prevent scratching the lenses.
Check if the telescope is properly focused. Ensure the lenses and eyepiece are clean. Verify that the telescope is stable and not vibrating. If issues persist, recalibrate the telescope's optics if possible.
Regularly check and tighten any loose screws and bolts. Clean the optics as needed and store the telescope in a dry, dust-free environment to prevent damage.
Begin by assembling the tripod and securing the telescope tube. Attach the finderscope, eyepiece, and any additional accessories. Make sure all components are securely fastened before use.
Ensure the tripod legs are fully extended and locked. Check that the mount is securely attached to the tripod. Tighten any loose knobs or screws to improve stability.
Use the telescope in a dark location away from light pollution. Allow the telescope to acclimate to the outdoor temperature for optimal performance. Experiment with different eyepieces to achieve desired magnification.
Most astronomical telescopes produce an inverted image. This is normal and does not affect astronomical observations. For terrestrial viewing, consider using an erecting prism.
Store the telescope in a cool, dry place. Use a dust cover to protect the optics. Avoid exposing the telescope to extreme temperatures or humidity.
Adjust the focus knob slowly until the image becomes sharp. Start with a low-power eyepiece to make focusing easier, then switch to higher magnifications if desired.
