Check the battery connections, ensure there is fuel in the tank, and inspect the spark plug. Additionally, verify that all safety switches are engaged.
Warm up the engine, turn it off, and remove the oil drain plug. Let the oil drain completely and replace the plug. Fill the engine with new oil according to specifications.
Perform oil changes every 50 hours of use, check and clean the air filter every 25 hours, and inspect the blades and belts regularly.
Check the tire pressure and ensure it's even on all tires. Inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and adjust the deck height as needed.
Inspect for loose or damaged parts, check the blade balance, and ensure the engine mounts are secure.
Safely elevate the tractor, remove the blade retaining bolt, replace the blade, and ensure it is securely fastened.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Consider using tire chains, adding wheel weights, or filling the tires with liquid ballast for better traction on slippery or uneven terrain.
Check the transmission fluid level and condition, ensure the drive belt is properly tensioned, and inspect for worn parts that may need replacement.
