To change the oil, first, warm up the engine to allow the oil to flow more easily. Turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Place an oil pan under the drain plug and remove the plug to drain the old oil. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil grade, checking the level with the dipstick.
Check the battery connections to ensure they are clean and tight. Verify that the fuel tank has gasoline and that the fuel valve is open. Inspect the spark plug for damage or wear and replace if necessary. Make sure the ignition switch is in the correct position.
Ensure that the mower deck is level by checking the tire pressure and adjusting the deck height. Inspect the blades for dullness or damage and sharpen or replace them as needed. Clear any debris from the underside of the deck that could obstruct grass ejection.
Replace the air filter every 100 hours of use or annually, whichever comes first. However, if you operate in dusty conditions, check and clean the filter more frequently and replace it if it appears clogged or damaged.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends above 10% as they can cause damage to the engine. Always use fresh fuel and consider using a fuel stabilizer if the tractor will not be used for extended periods.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever near the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring it locks into place at the chosen height. Refer to the operator's manual for specific height settings.
Excessive vibration can be caused by imbalanced blades or debris caught in the mower deck. Inspect the blades for balance and sharpness, and clean any debris from the deck. Check the engine mounts and other components for secure attachment.
Lubricate the moving parts, such as the steering mechanism, wheel bearings, and mower deck spindles, every 25 hours of use or at the start of each mowing season. Use a high-quality lithium-based grease for best results.
Clean the tractor thoroughly to remove any dirt or grass clippings. Change the oil and add a fuel stabilizer to the fuel tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
To replace the spark plug, first disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a spark plug socket to remove the old plug. Check the gap on the new spark plug using a gapping tool, and adjust if necessary. Install the new plug by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten with the socket. Reconnect the spark plug wire.
