To reset the maintenance light, turn the ignition to the 'ON' position without starting the engine. Press the 'Select/Reset' button until the engine oil life indicator is displayed. Hold the button for 10 seconds until the maintenance light starts to blink, then release and press again for 5 seconds until the light resets.
The 2014 Acura RDX is recommended to use SAE 5W-20 viscosity oil. It is best to use Honda Genuine Motor Oil or an equivalent oil that meets the API certification.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance such as timely oil changes and air filter replacements. Maintain proper tire pressure, use cruise control on highways, and avoid rapid acceleration and heavy braking.
The recommended tire pressure for the 2014 Acura RDX is 32 psi for both front and rear tires. Always refer to the sticker inside the driver's door for the most accurate information.
To pair your phone, enable Bluetooth on your phone and make it discoverable. On the RDX, press the 'Phone' button on the steering wheel, select 'Yes' to connect a phone, and follow the prompts to complete the pairing process.
It is recommended to change the transmission fluid every 60,000 miles under normal conditions. Check the owner's manual for specific intervals based on your driving habits.
A rattling noise in the rear could be due to loose items in the trunk, a loose exhaust system, or worn suspension components. Inspect these areas and consult a mechanic if the issue persists.
To replace the cabin air filter, open the glove box, remove the dampener arm, and press in on both sides to release it. Remove the filter cover and replace the old filter with a new one, ensuring proper orientation.
The check engine light can be triggered by various issues such as a loose gas cap, faulty oxygen sensor, or a malfunctioning catalytic converter. Use an OBD-II scanner for a specific diagnosis or consult a mechanic.
Common causes of battery drain include leaving lights on, electrical components malfunctioning, or a failing alternator. Ensure all lights are off when exiting the vehicle and have the electrical system checked if the problem persists.
