To change the oil, first warm up the engine, then turn it off. Remove the oil drain plug located underneath the engine and let the old oil drain into a pan. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type as specified in the manual.
Check if the battery is charged and terminals are clean. Ensure the fuel tank has gasoline and the fuel valve is open. Verify that the spark plug is clean and properly connected. If the issue persists, consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
Blades should be sharpened at least once per mowing season to ensure clean cuts. If you frequently mow over sticks or rocky terrain, inspect and sharpen the blades more often.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol as it can damage the engine components.
Excessive vibration could be due to unbalanced or damaged blades. Check the blades and deck for any damage or debris. Tighten any loose components and ensure the mower deck is properly balanced.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever, usually found near the driver's seat. Adjust the lever to the desired cutting height position, ensuring all wheels are set at the same level for even cutting.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Disconnect the spark plug, then remove the mower deck. Release the belt tension and remove the old belt. Install the new belt following the path shown in the manual, re-tension the belt, and reattach the mower deck.
Inspect the steering components for wear or damage. Tighten any loose bolts and replace any worn parts. Check the tire pressure and alignment, as uneven tires can affect steering performance.
Regularly maintain the engine by changing the oil and air filters. Keep the blades sharp and tires inflated to the correct pressure. Avoid overloading the tractor and mow at optimal speeds to reduce fuel consumption.
