Always wear safety goggles and gloves. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit. Keep hands away from the blade and use a push stick for small pieces.
First, disconnect the saw from the power source. Use a wrench to loosen the arbor nut, remove the old blade, and replace it with a new one. Tighten the arbor nut securely.
Ensure the saw is turned off. Loosen the fence locking lever, align the fence parallel to the blade using a square, then tighten the locking lever.
Check if the saw is properly plugged in and the power switch is on. Inspect the fuse or circuit breaker and replace if necessary. Verify that all safety guards are in place.
Regularly clean the sawdust from the machine. Lubricate moving parts with appropriate oil. Check and tighten any loose bolts and screws.
Locate the depth adjustment lever or knob, usually at the front of the saw. Adjust it to the desired depth and ensure it is securely locked in place.
Immediately turn off the saw and disconnect it from the power source. Gently reverse the blade out of the cut. Check for any obstructions or material binding and clear them before resuming.
The saw is primarily designed for wood. Cutting metal is not recommended unless specified by the manufacturer and with the appropriate blade and safety precautions.
Use a sharp, appropriate blade for the material. Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and use the saw’s guide or fence for straight cuts. Mark the cutting line clearly.
Inspect the alignment of the blade and the fence. Check for any play or looseness in the miter gauge or fence. Recalibrate as necessary using a square or precision tool.
