The Neutralization Unit is designed to neutralize acidic condensate produced by the Vitodens 100-W boiler, making it safe for discharge into the sewage system.
Ensure the unit is installed below the boiler to allow gravity drainage. Connect the condensate drain from the boiler to the inlet of the neutralization unit, and the outlet to the household drain.
Regularly check and replace the neutralizing media as it gets consumed over time. Inspect every 6-12 months depending on boiler usage.
If you notice increased acidity in the discharge or if the media appears dissolved or depleted, it's time to replace it.
It is designed for individual boilers. For multiple units, consult with Viessmann or your installer for appropriate solutions.
Check for blockages in the inlet and outlet pipes, ensure the unit is level, and confirm that the neutralizing media is not compacted.
While not mandatory in all regions, it is highly recommended to comply with local environmental regulations regarding acidic waste disposal.
Signs include unusual odors, visible leaks, or pH level readings of the discharge that indicate high acidity.
It is best to use Viessmann recommended media to ensure compatibility and optimum performance.
Inspect for blockages, check the condition of the media, and ensure proper installation. If issues persist, consult a professional technician.
