To set up the game, shuffle the deck and deal 7 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face down to form a draw pile. Flip over the top card to start the discard pile. Players take turns matching a card from their hand with the current card on the discard pile by color or number.
The objective is to be the first player to score 500 points by getting rid of all the cards in your hand before your opponents. Points are scored based on the cards left in the opponents' hands.
Special action cards include Draw Two, Skip, Reverse, and Wild cards. Draw Two forces the next player to draw two cards and forfeit their turn. Skip makes the next player lose their turn. Reverse changes the direction of play. Wild allows you to change the current color.
If you find missing or damaged cards, contact Mattel customer service for replacement parts. Provide details about the issue and proof of purchase if required.
Yes, the game can accommodate 2 to 10 players. If playing with a larger group, consider splitting into teams for a faster-paced game.
When you have only one card left, you must call "UNO" before your turn ends. If another player catches you not saying "UNO" and calls it out, you must draw two cards as a penalty.
To increase your chances of winning, try to play high-value cards early, keep track of the cards played, and strategically use special action cards to disrupt opponents.
To clean the cards, wipe them gently with a soft, dry cloth. Store them in a cool, dry place and keep them in their original box to protect them from dust and damage.
You can introduce variations such as stacking Draw Two and Draw Four cards, playing with a 'jump-in' rule where players can play out of turn if they have an exact match, or creating house rules for additional excitement.
If a card is bent or torn, try to flatten it carefully. If the damage is significant, contact Mattel for a replacement or consider purchasing a new deck. Handle cards gently to prevent future damage.
