To install the Toro Z Master 72-inch 100-9678 Recycler Kit, first ensure the mower is off and the key is removed. Lift the mower deck to its highest setting. Remove the existing blades and baffles, then attach the recycler blades and baffles provided in the kit, securing them with the appropriate fasteners.
Regular maintenance for the recycler kit includes cleaning the underside of the mower deck to prevent grass buildup, inspecting and sharpening the blades regularly, and checking all fasteners for tightness.
If clumps of grass are left behind, ensure the blades are sharp and the deck is clean. Mow when the grass is dry and adjust the mowing speed and height accordingly.
It is not recommended to use the recycler kit in wet conditions as it can lead to clogging and uneven cutting. Wait until the grass is dry for optimal performance.
Blades should be sharpened after approximately every 20-25 hours of use or if you notice a decrease in cutting performance.
The recycler kit is versatile and can handle most grass types but performs best on fine to medium-textured grass, such as fescue or bluegrass.
Check that the mower deck is level, the blades are sharp and properly installed, and that the tire pressures are even. Adjust as necessary to ensure even cutting.
The recommended mowing height varies by grass type but generally ranges from 2.5 to 4 inches. Adjust based on seasonal growth and grass health.
The recycler kit is designed to work independently. Using other attachments simultaneously may affect its performance and is not recommended.
Ensure the mower is off and the key is removed before performing any maintenance. Wear gloves when handling blades and follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines.
