To assemble the Toro 51502 Leaf Collector, start by attaching the blower tube to the main unit. Secure it with the locking mechanism and ensure it's tightly fitted. Attach the vacuum bag to the blower outlet and make sure it is properly zipped and secure.
For optimal performance, clean the air filter every 10 hours of use. Check and replace the vacuum bag as needed. Inspect the blower tubes and connections for wear or damage every 20 hours of use.
Ensure the unit is plugged into a working power outlet. Check the power cord for any cuts or damage. Verify that the extension cord is the correct gauge and length. Press the reset button on the unit if necessary.
Make sure the vacuum bag is properly aligned and securely attached to the blower outlet. Check the zipper on the bag for any obstructions or damage that might prevent it from staying closed.
It is not recommended to use the leaf collector on wet leaves as this can clog the machine and affect performance. Wait for the leaves to dry before using the collector.
The Toro 51502 features a variable speed control dial. Turn the dial to adjust the speed from low to high as needed for your specific task.
Turn off the unit immediately and unplug it. Allow it to cool down for at least 15 minutes. Check for any blockages in the air vents or tubes and clear them if necessary.
To prevent clogs, avoid using the collector on wet or damp leaves. Regularly inspect and clear any debris from the blower tube and air vents. Empty the vacuum bag before it becomes too full.
Clean the unit thoroughly, ensuring that all debris is removed from the blower tubes and vacuum bag. Store it in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the power cord is coiled properly and the unit is covered to prevent dust accumulation.
To replace the vacuum bag, first ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged. Detach the old bag from the blower outlet and dispose of it properly. Attach a new bag by securing it to the blower outlet and ensuring it is zipped and aligned correctly.
