Thule Passage 910XT. Instructions

To install the Thule Passage 910XT, first adjust the fit dial to correctly match your vehicle's specifications. Attach the lower straps to the bottom of the trunk or hatch, then position the rack and secure the upper hooks to the top edge. Adjust the straps for a snug fit, ensuring the rack is stable.
If the rubber pads are not gripping, clean both the pads and the contact area on the vehicle with a mild soap solution. Ensure the surfaces are dry before reattaching. If the issue persists, inspect for wear and consider replacing the pads.
The Thule Passage 910XT is not recommended for use on vehicles with a rear spoiler, as it may not fit securely and could cause damage. Consult the Thule Fit Guide or contact customer support for alternative options.
Regularly inspect the rack for any signs of wear or damage, particularly the straps and rubber pads. Clean the rack with a mild detergent and water, avoiding harsh chemicals. Store the rack in a cool, dry place when not in use to prevent UV and weather damage.
The Thule Passage 910XT has a maximum weight capacity of 70 lbs (31.8 kg). Ensure that the combined weight of your bikes does not exceed this limit to maintain safety and performance.
To prevent bike sway, ensure the straps are tightly secured around the bikes. Use additional anti-sway cradles or straps if needed. Position the bikes so that the heaviest bike is closest to the vehicle.
If the straps are fraying or damaged, replace them immediately to maintain the safety and integrity of the rack. Purchase replacement straps directly from Thule or an authorized retailer to ensure compatibility.
While it's possible to leave the Thule Passage 910XT on your car, it's recommended to remove it when not in use to prevent weather-related wear and potential theft. Additionally, removing the rack can improve fuel efficiency.
To secure your bikes, use a cable lock or regular bike lock to attach the bike frames to the rack or the vehicle. This can prevent theft when your vehicle is parked. Always lock both the frame and the wheels for maximum security.
Before each trip, check that all straps are tight and secure, the rubber pads are clean and gripping well, and the bikes are properly positioned and locked. Inspect the rack for any signs of wear or damage, and ensure the load does not exceed the weight capacity.
