First, try cleaning the CD and inserting it again. If the problem persists, there might be an issue with the laser lens or internal components, requiring professional service.
Static noise can be due to poor antenna connection or interference. Check the antenna and its connection. Ensure all cables are properly shielded and grounded.
Tune to the desired station, then press and hold one of the preset buttons until you hear a beep or the display confirms the station is stored.
Check for any physical obstructions or dirt around the buttons. If cleaning does not help, there may be an internal issue requiring professional repair.
