To thread the Singer ESP36, start by raising the presser foot and turning the handwheel to raise the needle to its highest position. Follow the threading path as indicated in the user manual, ensuring the thread passes through the tension discs and is properly secured in the take-up lever.
If the needle breaks frequently, make sure you are using the correct needle size and type for your fabric. Check for any bent needles and replace them. Also, ensure that the needle is inserted correctly and is tightened into place.
Regular maintenance involves removing lint and dust from the bobbin area and feed dogs using a small brush. Oil the machine as per the manufacturer's instructions. Always disconnect power before cleaning and use only sewing machine oil.
If the fabric is not feeding properly, check if the feed dogs are raised. Ensure the presser foot is down while sewing. If the issue persists, inspect the feed dogs for lint buildup or damage.
Skipped stitches can be caused by a dull or bent needle, so replace the needle first. Check that the needle is properly inserted and threaded. Also, verify that the thread tension is correctly set for the fabric being used.
To adjust the tension, locate the tension dial and turn it to a higher number for tighter tension or a lower number for looser tension. Test on a scrap piece of fabric and adjust incrementally until the stitch quality is optimal.
The Singer ESP36 uses standard Class 15 bobbins. Ensure that the bobbin is wound evenly and inserted correctly into the bobbin case with the thread leading in the correct direction.
If the machine does not power on, check the power cord and ensure it is securely connected. Verify that the outlet is functioning by testing with another device. If the issue persists, consult a professional technician.
Unusual noises can be due to a lack of lubrication or debris in the mechanism. Ensure the machine is properly oiled and clean the bobbin area and feed dogs. If noises continue, consult a technician.
To change the presser foot, raise the needle and presser foot. Press the lever at the back of the presser foot holder to release the foot. Align the new foot with the holder and lower the presser foot lifter to snap it into place.
