To change the oil, first warm up the engine, then turn it off. Place an oil pan under the engine, remove the drain plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the drain plug, remove the oil filter, and replace it with a new one. Add new oil to the engine, checking the owner's manual for the correct type and amount.
