Ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the PTO switch is off, and the transmission is in neutral. Insert the key and turn it to the start position until the engine starts. Release the key once the engine is running.
Check the fuel level and ensure fresh fuel is used. Inspect the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. Verify that the battery is charged and in good condition. Ensure that the air filter is clean and unobstructed.
The engine oil should be changed after the first 5 hours of operation and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
Remove the mower deck from the tractor. Secure the blades and use a file or grinder to sharpen the cutting edge, maintaining the original bevel. Balance the blades before reinstallation to prevent vibrations.
Regularly check and maintain the tire pressure, ensure the blades are sharp, and adjust the cutting height to suit the terrain and grass conditions. Clean the mower deck to prevent grass buildup.
Check for loose or damaged components, such as belts, pulleys, and blades. Ensure the blades are balanced and properly installed. Inspect the tires for proper inflation and damage.
Keep the battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Ensure the battery is securely mounted and check the electrolyte level if applicable. Charge the battery during extended storage periods.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the operator's seat. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position. Always adjust the height with the engine off and the tractor on a level surface.
Perform daily checks before use: inspect tires, oil level, and fuel. Change the oil every 50 hours, replace air filters annually, and inspect belts and blades regularly. Refer to the manual for detailed schedules.
Check the PTO switch for proper operation and connections. Inspect the PTO clutch and wiring for damage. Ensure the safety interlock system is functioning correctly and refer to the manual for diagnostic procedures.
