Ensure the tractor is on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and set the throttle to mid position. Turn the ignition key to the 'start' position and release it once the engine starts.
Check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, and verify the spark plug is in good condition. Replace or tighten components as necessary.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of operation, then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first. Use the specified oil type and capacity as outlined in the manual.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Do not use E85 or other ethanol blends above 10%.
Locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position to achieve the preferred grass cutting height.
Check for debris or damage under the deck, ensure the blades are balanced and securely fastened, and inspect the belt for wear or misalignment. Correct any issues found.
Turn off the tractor and disconnect the spark plug. Lift the mower deck and use a wrench to remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades, ensuring they are properly aligned and secure before lowering the deck.
Use wheel weights or tire chains to enhance traction. Always mow up and down slopes, not across, and reduce speed when operating on inclines.
Inspect the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean it by tapping gently to remove dust, or replace it if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
